The May bank holiday weekend sees the return of our popular Battle Re-enactment! 

Sunday 3rd May 2026
12pm - 5pm

Monday 4th May 2026 
12pm-5pm

£1 per person each day
(Free entry for under 2s)

Meccano, face-painting, medieval story-telling, blacksmith crafts, children's arts & crafts and more will be available! As well as the amazing Battle Re-enactment and Living History Displays from the English Civil War Society. Food and refreshments will be available to purchase and there will be fairground rides and tours of the castle throughout the day. There will be fun for all the family!
Polite note: If attending both days, you will need to purchase a ticket for each day.
Please read all the information in the Additional Details section below before purchasing. 

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different date. Tickets will not be reimbursed in the event of adverse weather. 

We reserve the right to refuse entry or eject individuals for safety, intoxication, or disorderly behaviour. 

Warning: due to the nature of the event there will be loud noises throughout the day. Please bear this in mind when booking tickets for people with sensory issues or if bringing pets. 

By completing the purchase of your tickets, you are agreeing to these terms. 
Your QR code will be scanned upon arrival so please have your confirmation email ready for inspection. 

Please note: there will be no parking within Hylton Castle grounds due to event infrastructure. We encourage everyone to use public transport where possible. Stagecoach buses 3 and 13 stop outside the Castle and if you are street parking we ask that you please respect our neighbours.
