In 2025 for the first time we hosted 'Twilight' and 'Sunset' guided tours to give visitors the chance to see the 21st century renovation works inside the shell of our 14th century monument on an evening as the sun was setting so that Hylton Castle could be seen in a new light! Visitors learnt about the history of the families who lived here and the significant architectural highlights. For those able to ascend our original stone spiral staircase, they were met by impressive landscapes seen from our viewing gallery on the roof.
