Once upon a time in a land far, far away called Hylton, there was a lovely lady called Mary Eleanor who met a mysterious gentleman called Mr Fox, in a music hall.
He took her to his giant castle, Hylton Castle.
When Mary Eleanor entered his castle: “I felt a strange presence but I didn’t mind. But as soon as we got upstairs he fell asleep so I decided to wander.”
Mary Eleanor looked around the whole castle. It looked amazing. She found a random key in a drawer so she decided to take it. The door was locked: “But I tried the key and it worked! I slowly opened the basement door and saw a girl. She was as pale as the moon.”
Mary Eleanor said “Hello?” She replied,
“Hello, my name is Leah. What is yours?”
“My name is Mary Eleanor. Why is your spirit here?”
“Because I was murdered here by Mr Fox.”
“What . . .?”
“Escape NOW! Or Mr Fox will kill you.”
Mary Eleanor and Leah ran away from the castle. But Mr Fox guarded the way. Mr Fox said,
“Where are you going, my sweetheart?”
Leah and Mary Eleanor said “Run!”
Mary Eleanor and Leah ran away into the woods!
They ran as they could run but Mr Fox was hot on the trail. They got to the middle of the woods but tripped as Mr Fox got closer. The faster Mary Eleanor’s heart beat the closer he got until he was impaled by a tree branch . . . by the Cauld Lad of Hylton! Leah flew away and Mary Eleanor decided to go home and never return again.
