The Hylton Dene Camping Horror

It was a cold stormy night in the city of Sunderland.  Four friends went to make a campfire, drink beer and relax at the Hylton Dene.  All of a sudden they heard a rustling sound. . .

Enjoying a starry night in Hylton Dene

Troy and Jack went to explore.  Jaxon and Keaton were scared. Then they heard a vicious scream. Tory and Jack came sprinting out but Jack was injured, so he was slow to get off.  Troy looked at Jack and shouted at the top of his lungs, “LOOK!” He had seen a figure in the background.

Mysterious appearance at Hylton Dene . . .

Jack and Troy fell and went unconscious.  Jaxon found a treasure map; he quickly swiped it.

Jack and Troy fell and went unconscious.

There was a gigantic red cross in the middle of the map and it had a compass on the side. There were riddles and each riddle was focused on an animal.  These animals had to help to solve each riddle.  There was a bear in Hylton Castle and it growled, “Don’t come in”.  Troy did not hesitate to go in. Slowly he pulled the door open so he could enter.

There was a gigantic red cross in the middle of the map and it had a compass on the side.

It was magic that had locked the door in the old castle so they were trapped in.  They were stuck in the 16th century and the castle was fixed to the max.  They thought they were in a dream.  They saw a bee that helped solve the first riddle.

A poison bee stung Troy.  The queen bee helped solve two more riddles and Troy started to breathe then his heart stopped.  Two years later the three friends who were left have never returned to the Dene.
